Sunan an-Nasa'i, 1855

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said; "The Messenger of Allah said:'The deceased is punished due to his family's weeping over him; Mention of that was made to 'Aishah and she said: 'He is wrong; rather the Prophet passed by a grave and said: The occupant of this grave is being punished and his family are weeping for him." Then she recited: And no bearer of burdens shall bear another's burden

Rapporté par Ibn 'Umar : Le Messager d'Allah ﷺ a dit : "Le défunt est puni à cause des pleurs de sa famille pour lui." On rapporta cela à 'Aïcha رضي الله عنها et elle dit : "Il se trompe ; en réalité, le Prophète ﷺ est passé devant une tombe et a dit : L'occupant de cette tombe est en train d'être puni alors que sa famille pleure pour lui." Puis elle récita : "Nul ne portera le fardeau d'autrui
