Sunan an-Nasa'i, 1382

It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Umar that :'Umar bin al-Khattab saw a Hullah and said: "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), why don't you buy this and wear it on Fridays and when meeting the delegations when they come to you?" The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "This is worn by one who has no share in the Hereafter." Then something similar was brought to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and he gave a Hullah to 'Umar from it. 'Umar said: "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), have you given me this when you said what you said about the Hullah of 'Utarid?" The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "I have not given it to you to wear it." So 'Umar gave it to an idolator brother of his in Makkah

Rapporté par 'Abdullah bin 'Umar : 'Umar bin al-Khattab a vu une hullah et a dit : "Ô Messager d'Allah (ﷺ), pourquoi ne l'achètes-tu pas pour la porter le vendredi et lors des rencontres avec les délégations ?" Le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) a dit : "Ceci est porté par celui qui n'a aucune part dans l'au-delà." Ensuite, un vêtement similaire a été apporté au Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) et il en a donné une à 'Umar. 'Umar a dit : "Ô Messager d'Allah (ﷺ), tu me l'as donnée alors que tu as dit ce que tu as dit à propos de la hullah de 'Utarid ?" Le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) a dit : "Je ne te l'ai pas donnée pour que tu la portes." Alors 'Umar l'a donnée à son frère idolâtre à La Mecque
