Sunan an-Nasa'i, 1228

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that:The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed one day and said the salam after two rak'ahs, then he left. Dhul-Shimalain caught up with him and said: "O Messenger of Alah, has the prayer been shortened or did you forget?" He said: "The prayer has not been shortened, and I did not forget." He said: "Yes, by the One Who sent you with the truth." The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Is Dhul-Yadain speaking the truth?" They said: 'Yes.' So he led the people in praying two rak'ahs

Rapporté par Abu Hurairah : Un jour, le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a prié et a fait le salam après deux rak‘a, puis il est parti. Dhul-Shimalain l’a rattrapé et a dit : "Ô Messager d’Allah, la prière a-t-elle été raccourcie ou as-tu oublié ?" Il a répondu : "La prière n’a pas été raccourcie et je n’ai pas oublié." Il a dit : "Oui, par Celui qui t’a envoyé avec la vérité." Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a dit : "Dhul-Yadain dit-il la vérité ?" Ils ont répondu : "Oui." Alors il a dirigé les gens dans deux rak‘a supplémentaires
