Sunan an-Nasa'i, 109

Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah said:"There are two things which I never asked anyone about after I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). He was with us on a journey and he went away to relieve himself, then he came and performed Wudu', and he wiped over his forehead and two sides of his 'Imamah, and he wiped over his Khuffs." He said: "And (the other issue) the Imam's Salah behind one of his followers. I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) when he was on a journey and time for prayer came. The Prophet (ﷺ) could not join them, so they called the Iqamah and they asked Ibn 'Awf to lead them in prayer. Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came and offered the remainder of the prayer behinf Ibn 'Awf, then when Ibn 'Awf said the Salah, the Prophet (ﷺ) stood up and completed what he had missed (of the prayer)

Rapporté par Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah : Il y a deux choses sur lesquelles je n'ai jamais interrogé personne après avoir vu le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ). Il était avec nous en voyage, il est parti faire ses besoins, puis il est revenu et a fait ses ablutions, et il a passé ses mains mouillées sur son front, les deux côtés de son turban, et sur ses Khuffs. Il a aussi dit : "Et (l'autre sujet) la prière de l'imam derrière l'un de ses compagnons. J'ai vu le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) en voyage, et l'heure de la prière est arrivée. Le Prophète (ﷺ) n'a pas pu les rejoindre, alors ils ont fait l'appel et ont demandé à Ibn 'Awf de diriger la prière. Puis le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) est arrivé et a terminé le reste de la prière derrière Ibn 'Awf. Quand Ibn 'Awf a terminé la prière, le Prophète (ﷺ) s'est levé et a complété ce qu'il avait manqué de la prière
