Sahih Muslim, 6952

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, said: I live in the thought of My servant and I am with him as he remembers Me. (The Holy Prophet) further said: By Allah, Allah is more pleased wth the repentance of His servant than what one of you would do on finding the lost camel in the waterless desert. When he draws near Me by the span of his hand. I draw near him by the length of a cubit and when he draws near Me by the length of a cubit. I draw near him by the length of a fathom and when he draws near Me walking I draw close to him hurriedly

Rapporté par Abu Huraira : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Allah, le Très-Haut et le Glorieux, a dit : “Je suis selon l’opinion que Mon serviteur a de Moi et Je suis avec lui quand il se souvient de Moi.” » Le Prophète ﷺ a ajouté : « Par Allah, Allah est plus heureux du repentir de Son serviteur que l’un d’entre vous ne le serait en retrouvant son chameau perdu dans un désert sans eau. Si Mon serviteur s’approche de Moi d’un empan, Je m’approche de lui d’une coudée ; s’il s’approche de Moi d’une coudée, Je m’approche de lui d’une brasse ; et s’il vient vers Moi en marchant, Je viens vers lui en toute hâte. »
