حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ، بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ نَدَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم النَّاسَ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ فَانْتَدَبَ الزُّبَيْرُ ثُمَّ نَدَبَهُمْ فَانْتَدَبَ الزُّبَيْرُ ثُمَّ نَدَبَهُمْ فَانْتَدَبَ الزُّبَيْرُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ حَوَارِيٌّ وَحَوَارِيَّ الزُّبَيْرُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Jabir b. Abdullah reported:I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) exhorting people on the Day of the Battle of the Ditch to fight. Zubair said: I am ready (to participate). He then again exhorted and he again said: I am ready to participate. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Behold. for every Prophet there is a helper and my helper is Zubair

Rapporté par Jabir b. Abdullah : J’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ encourager les gens à combattre le jour de la Bataille du Fossé. Zubair dit : « Je suis prêt. » Il recommença à encourager, et Zubair répéta : « Je suis prêt. » Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ dit alors : « Sachez que chaque Prophète a un soutien, et mon soutien, c’est Zubair. »
