Sahih Muslim, 586

Abu Hazim reported:I was (standing) behind Abu Huraira and he was performing the ablution for prayer. He extended the (washing) of his hand that it went up to his armpit. I said to him: O Abu Huraira, what is this ablution? He said: O of the tribe of Faruukh, you are here; if I knew that you were here, I would have never performed ablution like this; I have heard my Friend (ﷺ) say. In a believer adornment would reach the places where ablution reaches

Rapporté par Abu Hazim : J’étais derrière Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه alors qu’il faisait ses ablutions pour la prière. Il a lavé son bras jusqu’à l’aisselle. Je lui ai dit : « Ô Abu Huraira, pourquoi fais-tu tes ablutions ainsi ? » Il répondit : « Ô toi du clan de Faruukh, tu es là ; si j’avais su que tu étais là, je n’aurais pas fait mes ablutions de cette façon. J’ai entendu mon Ami ﷺ dire : “Chez le croyant, l’ornement atteindra l’endroit où l’eau des ablutions arrive.” »
