Sahih Muslim, 5815

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Mu'awiya b. Hakam as-Sulami through another chain of transmitters. The hadith transmitted on the authority of Yahya b. Abu Kathir (there is an addition of these words):I said: Among us there are men who draw lines and thus make divination. What about this? Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: There was a Prophet who drew lines, so whose lines agree with his line for him it is allowable

Ce hadith a été rapporté par Mu’awiya ibn Hakam as-Sulami رضي الله عنه par une autre chaîne de transmetteurs. Dans la version transmise par Yahya ibn Abu Kathir, il y a cet ajout : « J’ai dit : Parmi nous, il y a des hommes qui tracent des lignes pour deviner l’avenir. Qu’en est-il ? » Le Prophète ﷺ a répondu : « Il y avait un Prophète qui traçait des lignes, alors si leurs lignes concordent avec les siennes, cela est permis pour eux. » »
