Sahih Muslim, 5757

Asma' reported that a woman running high fever was brought to her. She asked water to be brought and then sprinkled it in the opening of a shirt at the uppermost part of the chest and said that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had said:Cool (the fever) with water. for it is because of the vehemence of the beat of Hell

Rapporté par Asma’ رضي الله عنها : Une femme souffrant d’une forte fièvre a été amenée auprès d’elle. Elle a demandé qu’on apporte de l’eau, puis elle en a aspergé l’ouverture du haut de la chemise, sur la poitrine, et a dit que le Messager d’Allah ﷺ avait dit : « Rafraîchissez la fièvre avec de l’eau, car elle vient de la chaleur intense de l’Enfer. »
