Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Messenger (may Peace be upon him) sent a silk gown to 'Umar, whereupon 'Umar said:You sent it to me whereas you said what you had to, say (i. e. it is forbidden for men). Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: I did not send it to you so that you might wear it, but I sent it to you so that you might derive benefit from its priceRapporté par Anas ibn Malik : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ envoya une tunique en soie à Omar, qui dit : « Tu me l’as envoyée alors que tu as dit ce que tu as dit (c’est-à-dire que c’est interdit pour les hommes). » Le Prophète ﷺ répondit : « Je ne te l’ai pas envoyée pour que tu la portes, mais pour que tu puisses profiter de son prix. »Grades given by scholars
