Sahih Muslim, 382

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) observed:We have more claim to doubt than Ibrahim (ﷺ) when he said: My Lord! Show me how Thou wilt quicken the dead. He said: Believeth thou not? He said: Yes! But that my heart may rest at ease. He (the Holy Prophet) observed: May Lord take mercy on Lot, that he wanted a strong support, and had I stayed (in the prison) as long as Yusuf stayed, I would have responded to him who invited me

Rapporté par Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Nous avons plus de raisons de douter qu’Ibrahim ﷺ quand il a dit : “Mon Seigneur ! Montre-moi comment Tu redonnes la vie aux morts.” Il a dit : “Ne crois-tu pas ?” Il a répondu : “Si, mais c’est pour que mon cœur soit rassuré.” » Le Prophète ﷺ a aussi dit : « Qu’Allah fasse miséricorde à Loth : il voulait un soutien solide. Et si j’étais resté en prison aussi longtemps que Yusuf, j’aurais répondu à celui qui m’invitait. »
