Khaithama reported:While we were sitting in the company of 'Abdullah b. 'Umar there came in his steward. He (Ibn 'Umar) said: Have you supplied the provision to the slaves? Rapporté par Khaithama رضي الله عنه : Alors que nous étions assis en compagnie de ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar, son intendant est entré. Ibn ‘Umar lui a demandé : « As-tu donné la nourriture aux esclaves ? » Il a répondu : « Non. » Ibn ‘Umar a dit : « Va leur donner, car le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : “C’est déjà un grave péché pour un homme de priver de subsistance ceux dont il a la charge.” »
