Sahih Muslim, 2259

Abu Huraira reported:The Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) visited the grave of his mother and he wept, and moved others around him to tears, and said: I sought permission from my Lord to beg forgiveness for her but it was not granted to me, and I sought permission to visit her grave and it was granted to me so visit the graves, for that makes you mindful of death

Rapporté par Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a visité la tombe de sa mère et il a pleuré, ce qui a fait pleurer ceux qui étaient autour de lui. Il a dit : « J’ai demandé à mon Seigneur la permission de demander pardon pour elle, mais cela ne m’a pas été accordé. J’ai demandé la permission de visiter sa tombe, et cela m’a été accordé. Alors, visitez les tombes, car cela vous rappelle la mort. »
