Sahih Muslim, 1805

Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported:I accompanied the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) in a journey and we reached a watering place. He said: Jabir, are you going to enter it? I said: Yes. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) then got down and I entered it. He (the Holy Prophet) then went away to relieve himself and I placed for him water for ablution. He then came back and performed ablution, and then stood and prayed in one garment, having its ends tied from the opposite sides. I stood behind him and he caught hold of my ear and made me stand on his right side

Rapporté par Jabir b. 'Abdullah : J’ai accompagné le Messager d’Allah ﷺ lors d’un voyage et nous sommes arrivés à un point d’eau. Il m’a dit : « Jabir, vas-tu y entrer ? » J’ai répondu : « Oui. » Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ est alors descendu et je suis entré dans l’eau. Ensuite, il est parti pour ses besoins et j’ai préparé de l’eau pour ses ablutions. Il est revenu, a fait ses ablutions, puis il s’est levé et a prié en portant un seul vêtement, dont il avait attaché les extrémités de chaque côté. Je me suis placé derrière lui et il m’a tiré par l’oreille pour me faire tenir à sa droite
