Yahya related to me from Malik from Ayyub ibn Abi Tamima as- Sakhtayani that a very old man from Basra once said to him, "I set out for Makka but on the way there I broke my thigh, so I sent a message on to Makka Abdullah ibn Abbas and Abdullah ibn Umar and the people were there, but no-one allowed me to leave ihram, and I stayed there for seven months until I left ihram by doing an umra

Ayoub Ibn Abi Tamima Al-Sakhtiani a rapporté qu'un homme des habitants de «Basra», a, dans le temps, raconté: «ayant prit la route pour la Mecque, il m'est arrivé, en route, d'avoir une fracture à ma cuisse. J'ai envoyé un messager à la Mecque où se trouvaient Abdallah Ibn Abbas, Abdallah Ibn Omar et autres les consultant à mon sujet. Personne ne m'a autorisé de quitter l'ihram. Ainsi, je suis resté tout près de la source d'eau pour sept mois (là où j'ai brisé ma cuisse), jusqu'à ce que je fus guéri; alors j'ai quitté l'ihram après avoir accompli une visite pieuse»
