Muwatta Malik, 380

Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father that Abdullah ibn al-Arqam used to lead his companions in prayer. The time for prayer came one day and he went to relieve himself. When he returned, he said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, 'If you wish to defecate, you should do so before the prayer

Ourwa a rapporté de son père que Abdallah Ibn Al-Arqam présidait la prière qu'il faisait avec les hommes; un jour, et au moment de la prière, il alla satisfaire un besoin naturel puis revint et dît aux gens: «J'ai entendu l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) dire: «Si l'un de vous a besoin de satisfaire un besoin naturel, qu'il le fasse avant de prier»
