Muwatta Malik, 303

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Anas ibn Malik that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, fell off his horse when riding, and his right side was scraped, so he did one of the prayers sitting, and we prayed behind him sitting. When he left, he said, "The imam is appointed to be followed. If he prays standing, then pray standing, and when he goes into ruku, go into ruku, and when he rises, rise, and when he says, 'Allah hears whoever praises him,' say, 'Our Lord, praise belongs to You,' and if he prays sitting, then all of you pray sitting

Anas Ibn Malek a rapporté que l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) tomba de son cheval, et son côté droit fut éraflé. Il fit une de ses prières, assis, et nous la fîmes comme lui. La prière achevée, il nous dit: «L'imam n'a été institué que pour en être suivi dans la prière; s'il la fait debout, faites-la de même; quand il s'incline, inclinez-vous, et quand il relève la tête, relevez les vôtres. Quand il dit: «Allah écoute ceux qui le louent», dites:«Notre Seigneur, à Toi la louange». S'il fait la prière assis, faites-la pareillement»
