Forgetfulness in Prayer
Sahih (authentic)by Salim al-Hilali
Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Abu Salama ibn Abdar-Rahman ibn Awf from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "When you stand in prayer, Shaytan comes to you and confuses you until you do not know how much you have prayed. If you find that happening do two sajdas from the sitting positionAbou Houraira a rapporté que l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) a dit: «lorsque l'un de vous se lève pour faire la prière, satan vint lui troubler l'esprit au point d'oublier le nombre des raka'ts qu'il a fait. Quand cela lui arrive, qu'il fasse deux prosternations, tout en restant assis»Grades given by scholars
