Muwatta Malik, 1823

Malik related to me from Abdullah ibn Dinar saying, "Abdullah ibn Umar and I were at the house of Khalid ibn Uqba who was away at the market. A man came who wanted to speak to Abdullah ibn Umar and I was the only other person present Abdullah ibn Umar called another man so that we were four and said to me and the man whom he had called, 'Go a little way off together, because I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, "Two do not converse secretly to the exclusion of another

Abdallah Ibn Dinar a rapporté: «Abdallah Ibn Omar et moi, étions près de la demeure de Khaled Ibn Ouqba, située au marché. Un homme vint, voulant s'entretenir avec lui, alors qu'il n'y avait que moi avec Abdallah Ibn Omar, et l'homme en question. Alors Abdallah Ibn Omar appela un homme afin que nous soyions quatre, puis s'adressant à moi et à l'homme qui vient d'arriver, il dit: «Ecartez-vous en arrière, car j'ai entendu l'Envoyé d'Allah r (salallahou alayhi wa salam) (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) dire: «Que deux d'entre-vous, ne s'entretiennent pas, en laissant un troisième à part»
