Sunan Ibn Majah, 3251

‘Abdullah bin Salam said:“When the Prophet (ﷺ) came to Al-Madinah, the people rushed to meet him, and it was said: ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has come! The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has come! The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has come!’ Three times. I came with the people to see him, and when I saw his face clearly, I knew that his face was not the face of a liar. The first thing I heard him say was when he said: ‘O people! Spread (the greeting of) Salam, feed others, uphold the ties of kinship, and pray during the night when people are sleeping, and you will enter Paradise with Salam.”

Rapporté par ‘Abdullah bin Salam : Quand le Prophète (ﷺ) est arrivé à Médine, les gens se sont précipités pour l’accueillir, et on disait : “Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) est arrivé ! Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) est arrivé ! Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) est arrivé !” Trois fois. Je suis venu avec les gens pour le voir, et quand j’ai vu son visage clairement, j’ai su que ce n’était pas le visage d’un menteur. La première chose que je l’ai entendu dire, c’est quand il a dit : “Ô gens ! Répandez le Salam, donnez à manger aux autres, entretenez les liens de parenté, et priez la nuit quand les gens dorment, et vous entrerez au Paradis en paix.”
