Sunan Ibn Majah, 3177

It was narrated that ‘Adi bin Hatim said:“I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, we hunt game but we cannot find anything but the sharp edge of a stone or stick (with which to slaughter it).’ He said: ‘Cause the blood to flow with whatever you want, and mention the Name of Allah over it.’”

Rapporté par ‘Adi bin Hatim : J’ai dit : “Ô Messager d’Allah, nous chassons du gibier mais parfois nous ne trouvons rien d’autre qu’un caillou tranchant ou un bâton (pour l’abattre).” Il dit : “Fais couler le sang avec ce que tu veux, et prononce le Nom d’Allah dessus.”
