Sunan Ibn Majah, 2942

It was narrated that Usamah bin Zaid said:“I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, where will you stay tomorrow?’ That was during his Hajj. He said: ‘Has ‘Aqil left us any house?’ Then he said: ‘Tomorrow we will stay in the valley of Banu Kinanah, Muhassab where the Quraish swore an oath of disbelief.’” That was where the Banu Kinana had sworn an oath with the Quriash against Banu Hashim, that they would not intermarry with them or engage in trade with them. Ma’mar said: “Zuhri said: Khaif means a valley.’”

Rapporté par Usamah bin Zaid : J’ai dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah, où vas-tu t’installer demain ? » C’était pendant son Hajj. Il a dit : « Est-ce qu’‘Aqil nous a laissé une maison ? » Puis il a dit : « Demain, nous resterons dans la vallée des Banu Kinanah, à Muhassab, là où les Quraysh ont juré un serment de mécréance. » C’est là que les Banu Kinana avaient prêté serment avec les Quraysh contre les Banu Hashim, qu’ils ne se marieraient pas avec eux et ne commercerait pas avec eux. Ma’mar a dit : « Zuhri a dit : Khaif signifie une vallée. »
