Sunan Ibn Majah, 2471

It was narrated from 'Aisha that the Prophet (ﷺ) heard some sounds and said:“What is this noise?” They said: “Palm trees that are being pollinated.” He said: “If they did not do that it would be better.” So they did not pollinate them that year, and the dates did not mature properly. they mentioned that to the Prophet (ﷺ) and he said: “If it is one of the matters of your religion, then refer to me.”

Rapporté par 'Aisha : Le Prophète (ﷺ) a entendu des bruits et a demandé : “Qu’est-ce que ce bruit ?” Ils ont répondu : “Ce sont des palmiers qu’on pollinise.” Il a dit : “S’ils ne le faisaient pas, ce serait mieux.” Cette année-là, ils n’ont donc pas pollinisé, et les dattes n’ont pas mûri correctement. Ils en ont parlé au Prophète (ﷺ) et il a dit : “Si cela concerne votre religion, alors référez-vous à moi.”
