Sunan Ibn Majah, 2186

It was narrated from Qasim bin 'Abdur Rahman from his father that :Abdullah bin Mas'ud sold one of the slaves from the state[1] to Ash'ath bin Qais, and they differed concerning the price. Ibn Mas'ud said: "I sold him to you for twenty thousand,' but Ash'ath bin Qais said: "I bought him from you for ten thousand." 'Abdullah said: "If you want, I will tell you a Hadith which I heard from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)" He said: "Tell me it." He said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: 'If two parties to a transaction differ, and they have no proof, and the sale item remains (unredeemed), then what the seller says is valid. Or they may cancel the transaction." He said: "I want to cancel the transaction." And he cancelled it

Rapporté par Qasim bin 'Abdur Rahman, de son père : 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud a vendu un esclave de l’État à Ash'ath bin Qais, et ils n’étaient pas d’accord sur le prix. Ibn Mas'ud a dit : « Je te l’ai vendu pour vingt mille », mais Ash'ath bin Qais a dit : « Je l’ai acheté pour dix mille. » 'Abdullah a dit : « Si tu veux, je vais te raconter un hadith que j’ai entendu du Messager d’Allah (ﷺ). » Il a dit : « Dis-le-moi. » Il a dit : « J’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) dire : “Si deux personnes ne sont pas d’accord sur une transaction, qu’elles n’ont pas de preuve, et que l’objet de la vente est encore là, alors c’est la parole du vendeur qui prévaut. Ou bien elles peuvent annuler la transaction.” » Il a dit : « Je veux annuler la transaction. » Et il l’a annulée
