Sunan Ibn Majah, 2089

It was narrated from 'Abdur-Rahman that:a man's father or mother - Shu'bah (one of the namators) was not sure - ordered him to divorce his wife, and he made a vow that he would free one hundred slaves if he did that. He came to Abu Darda' while he was praying the Duha, and he was making his prayer lengthy, and he prayed between Zuhr and 'Asr. Then he asked him and Abu Darda' said: "Fulfill your vow and honor your parents." Abu Ad-Darda' said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: '(Honoring) one's father may lead one to enter through the best of the gates of Paradise; so take care of your parents, (it is so, whether you take care of them) or not

Rapporté par 'Abdur-Rahman : Le père ou la mère d’un homme – Shu'bah (un des rapporteurs) n’était pas sûr – lui a ordonné de divorcer de sa femme, et il a fait le vœu d’affranchir cent esclaves s’il le faisait. Il est allé voir Abu Darda’ pendant qu’il priait la prière du Duha, et il a prolongé sa prière, puis il a prié entre le Zuhr et l’Asr. Ensuite il l’a interrogé et Abu Darda’ a dit : "Accomplis ton vœu et honore tes parents." Abu Darda’ a dit : "J’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) dire : '(Honorer) son père peut permettre d’entrer par la meilleure des portes du Paradis ; alors prends soin de tes parents, que tu le veuilles ou non
