Sunan Ibn Majah, 1943

It was narrated that 'Aishah said:“Sahlah bint Suhail came to the Prophet and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I see signs of displeasure on the face of Abu Hudhaifah when Salim enters upon me.” The Prophet said: “Breastfeed him.” She said: “How can I breastfeed him when he is a grown man? The Messenger of Allah smiled and said: “I know that he is a grown man.” So she did that, then she came to the Prophet and said: “I have never seen any signs of displeasure on the face of Abu Hudhayfah after that.” And he was present at (the battle of) Badr

Rapporté par 'Aishah : Sahlah bint Suhail est venue voir le Prophète ﷺ et a dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah, je vois des signes de mécontentement sur le visage d’Abu Hudhaifah quand Salim entre chez moi. » Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Allaite-le. » Elle a dit : « Comment puis-je l’allaiter alors que c’est un homme adulte ? » Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a souri et a dit : « Je sais que c’est un homme adulte. » Elle l’a donc fait, puis elle est revenue voir le Prophète ﷺ et a dit : « Je n’ai plus jamais vu de signes de mécontentement sur le visage d’Abu Hudhaifah après cela. » Et il a assisté à la bataille de Badr
