Sunan Ibn Majah, 117

It was narrated that 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abu laila said:"Abu Laila used to travel with 'Ali, and he used to wear summer clothes in winter and winter clothes in summer. We said: 'Why don't you ask him (about that)?' He said: "The Messenger of Allah sent for me and my eyes were sore, on the Day of Khaibar. I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, my eyes are sore.' He put some spittle into my eyes, then he said: 'O Allah, take heat and cold away from him.' I never felt hot or cold again after that day. He (the Prophet) said: 'I will send a man who loves Allah and His Messenger, and whom Allah and His Messenger love, and he is not one who flees from the battlefield.' The people craned their necks to see, and he sent for 'Ali and gave it (the banner) to him

Rapporté par ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Laila : Abu Laila voyageait avec ‘Ali, et il portait des vêtements d’été en hiver et des vêtements d’hiver en été. Nous lui avons dit : « Pourquoi ne lui demandes-tu pas à ce sujet ? » Il a répondu : « Le Messager d’Allah m’a fait venir alors que j’avais mal aux yeux, le jour de Khaybar. J’ai dit : “Ô Messager d’Allah, j’ai mal aux yeux.” Il a mis un peu de salive dans mes yeux, puis il a dit : “Ô Allah, enlève-lui la chaleur et le froid.” Je n’ai plus jamais ressenti ni chaud ni froid après ce jour-là. » Le Prophète a dit : « J’enverrai un homme qui aime Allah et Son Messager, et qu’Allah et Son Messager aiment, et ce n’est pas quelqu’un qui fuit le champ de bataille. » Les gens tendaient le cou pour voir, et il a fait venir ‘Ali et lui a donné l’étendard
