Narrated Shu`ba:Mu'awiya bin Qurra reported that `Abdullah bin Al-Maghaffal Al-Muzani said, "I saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) on the day of the Conquest of Mecca, riding his she-camel and reciting Surat-al-Fath (48) or part of Surat-al-Fath. He recited it in a vibrating and pleasant voice. Then Mu'awiya recited as `Abdullah bin Mughaffal had done and said, "Were I not afraid that the people would crowd around me, I would surely recite in a vibrating pleasant voice as Ibn Mughaffal did, imitating the Prophet." I asked Muawiya, "How did he recite in that tone?" He said thrice, "A, A , A

Rapporté par Shu`ba : Mu’awiya bin Qurra a rapporté que `Abdullah bin Al-Maghaffal Al-Muzani a dit : « J’ai vu le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) le jour de la conquête de La Mecque, monté sur sa chamelle, récitant la sourate Al-Fath (48) ou une partie de cette sourate. Il la récitait d’une voix vibrante et agréable. Puis Mu’awiya a récité comme l’avait fait `Abdullah bin Mughaffal et a dit : “Si je n’avais pas peur que les gens se rassemblent autour de moi, je réciterais sûrement d’une voix vibrante et agréable comme Ibn Mughaffal, en imitant le Prophète.” Je demandai à Muawiya : “Comment récitait-il sur ce ton ?” Il a dit trois fois : “A, A, A.” »
