Sahih al-Bukhari, 7318

Narrated Al-Mughira bin Shu`ba:`Umar bin Al-Khattab asked (the people) about the Imlas of a woman, i.e., a woman who has an abortion because of having been beaten on her `Abdomen, saying, "Who among you has heard anything about it from the Prophet?" I said, "I did.'' He said, "What is that?" I said, "I heard the Prophet saying, "Its Diya (blood money) is either a male or a female slave.' " `Umar said, "Do not leave till you present witness in support of your statement." So I went out, and found Muhammad bin Maslama. I brought him, and he bore witness with me that he had heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "Its Diya (blood money) is either a male slave or a female slave

Rapporté par Al-Mughira bin Shu`ba : `Umar bin Al-Khattab a interrogé les gens au sujet de l’imlas d’une femme, c’est-à-dire une femme qui fait une fausse couche après avoir été frappée au ventre. Il a demandé : « Qui parmi vous a entendu quelque chose à ce sujet de la part du Prophète ? » J’ai répondu : « Moi, j’ai entendu. » Il a dit : « Qu’as-tu entendu ? » J’ai dit : « J’ai entendu le Prophète dire : “Le diya (prix du sang) est un esclave homme ou une esclave femme.” » `Umar a dit : « Ne pars pas tant que tu n’as pas présenté un témoin pour appuyer ta déclaration. » Je suis donc sorti et j’ai trouvé Muhammad bin Maslama. Je l’ai amené, et il a témoigné avec moi qu’il avait entendu le Prophète (ﷺ) dire : « Le diya (prix du sang) est un esclave homme ou une esclave femme. »
