حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، سَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى هَلْ رَجَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ نَعَمْ‏.‏ قُلْتُ قَبْلَ سُورَةِ النُّورِ أَمْ بَعْدُ قَالَ لاَ أَدْرِي‏.‏

Narrated Ash Shaibani:I asked `Abdullah bin Abi `Aufa, 'Did Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) carry out the Rajam penalty ( i.e., stoning to death)?' He said, "Yes." I said, "Before the revelation of Surat-an-Nur or after it?" He replied, "I don't Know

Rapporté par Ash Shaibani : J'ai demandé à `Abdullah bin Abi `Aufa : « Est-ce que le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) a appliqué la peine du Rajam (c'est-à-dire la lapidation à mort) ? » Il a répondu : « Oui. » J'ai demandé : « Avant ou après la révélation de la sourate An-Nur ? » Il a répondu : « Je ne sais pas. »
