Sahih al-Bukhari, 6459

Narrated `Aisha:that she said to `Urwa, "O, the son of my sister! We used to see three crescents in two months, and no fire used to be made in the houses of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) (i.e. nothing used to be cooked)." `Urwa said, "What used to sustain you?" `Aisha said, "The two black things i.e. dates and water, except that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had neighbors from the Ansar who had some milch she-camels, and they used to give the Prophet (ﷺ) some milk from their house, and he used to make us drink it

Rapporté par `Aisha : Elle a dit à `Urwa : « Ô fils de ma sœur ! Il nous arrivait de voir trois croissants de lune en deux mois, et aucun feu n’était allumé dans les maisons du Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) (c’est-à-dire que rien n’était cuisiné). » `Urwa demanda : « Comment faisiez-vous pour vivre ? » `Aisha répondit : « Avec les deux choses noires, c’est-à-dire les dattes et l’eau, sauf que le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) avait des voisins parmi les Ansar qui possédaient des chamelles laitières, et ils donnaient un peu de lait au Prophète (ﷺ), qui nous le faisait boire. »
