Sahih al-Bukhari, 6217

Narrated `Ali:We were with the Prophet (ﷺ) in a funeral procession, and he started scraping the ground with a small stick and said, "There is none amongst you but has been assigned a place (either) in Paradise and (or) in the Hell-Fire." The people said (to him), "Should we not depend upon it?" He said: carry on doing (good) deeds, for everybody will find easy such deeds as will lead him to his destined place. He then recited: "As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah

Rapporté par `Ali : Nous étions avec le Prophète (ﷺ) lors d’un cortège funéraire, et il s’est mis à gratter la terre avec un petit bâton puis il a dit : « Il n’y a personne parmi vous sans qu’un lieu ne lui soit attribué, soit au Paradis, soit en Enfer. » Les gens lui ont dit : « Ne devrions-nous pas nous reposer sur cela ? » Il a dit : « Continuez à faire de bonnes actions, car chacun trouvera facile ce qui le mènera à sa destination. » Il a ensuite récité : « Quant à celui qui donne (en aumône) et craint Allah… »
