Sahih al-Bukhari, 5557

Narrated Al-Bara':Abu Burda slaughtered (the sacrifice) before the (`Id) prayer whereupon the Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, "Slaughter another sacrifice instead of that." Abu Burda said, "I have nothing except a Jadha'a." (Shu`ba said: Perhaps Abu Burda also said that Jadha'a was better than an old sheep in his opinion.) The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "(Never mind), slaughter it to make up for the other one, but it will not be sufficient for anyone else after you

Rapporté par Al-Bara' : Abu Burda a sacrifié son animal avant la prière de l’Aïd. Le Prophète (ﷺ) lui a alors dit : « Sacrifie un autre animal à la place. » Abu Burda a répondu : « Je n’ai qu’un Jadha'a. » (Shu`ba a précisé : Peut-être qu’Abu Burda a aussi dit qu’à son avis, le Jadha'a était meilleur qu’une vieille brebis.) Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Ce n’est pas grave, sacrifie-le pour remplacer l’autre, mais cela ne suffira pour personne d’autre que toi. »
