Sahih al-Bukhari, 5479

Narrated `Abdullah bin Maghaffal:that he saw a man throwing stones with two fingers (at something) and said to him, "Do not throw stones, for Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) has forbidden throwing stones, or he used to dislike it." `Abdullah added: Throwing stones will neither hunt the game, nor kill (or hurt) an enemy, but it may break a tooth or gouge out an eye." Afterwards `Abdullah once again saw the man throwing stones. He said to him, "I tell you that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) has forbidden or disliked the throwing the stones (in such a way), yet you are throwing stones! I shall not talk to you for such-and-such a period

Rapporté par `Abdullah bin Maghaffal : Il a vu un homme lancer des pierres avec deux doigts (sur quelque chose) et lui a dit : « Ne lance pas de pierres, car le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) a interdit de lancer des pierres, ou il n'aimait pas cela. » `Abdullah a ajouté : « Lancer des pierres ne permet ni de chasser un gibier, ni de tuer (ou blesser) un ennemi, mais cela peut casser une dent ou crever un œil. » Plus tard, `Abdullah a de nouveau vu cet homme lancer des pierres. Il lui a dit : « Je t'ai dit que le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) a interdit ou n'aimait pas qu'on lance des pierres de cette façon, et pourtant tu continues ! Je ne te parlerai plus pendant un certain temps. »
