Sahih al-Bukhari, 5345

Narrated Zainab bint Um Salama:When Um Habiba bint Abi Sufyan was informed of her father's death, she asked for perfume and rubbed it over her arms and said, "I am not in need of perfume, but I have heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "It is not lawful for a lady who believes in Allah and the Last Day to mourn for more than three days except for her husband for whom the (mourning) period is four months and ten days

Rapporté par Zainab bint Um Salama : Lorsque Um Habiba bint Abi Sufyan a appris la mort de son père, elle a demandé du parfum et en a mis sur ses bras, puis elle a dit : « Je n’ai pas besoin de parfum, mais j’ai entendu le Prophète (ﷺ) dire : Il n’est pas permis à une femme qui croit en Allah et au Jour Dernier de porter le deuil plus de trois jours, sauf pour son mari, pour qui la période de deuil est de quatre mois et dix jours. »
