Sahih al-Bukhari, 5316

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:Those involved in a case of Lian were mentioned before Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) `Asim bin Adi said something about that and then left. Later on a man from his tribe came to him and told him that he had found another man with his wife. On that `Asim said, "I have not been put to task except for what I have said (about Lian)." `Asim took the man to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and he told him of the state in which he found his wife. The man was pale, thin and lank-haired, while the other man whom he had found with his wife was brown, fat with thick calves and curly hair. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "O Allah! Reveal the truth." Then the lady delivered a child resembling the man whom her husband had mentioned he had found with her. So Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ordered them to carry out Lien. A man from that gathering said to Ibn `Abbas, "Was she the same lady regarding whom Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, 'If I were to stone to death someone without witnesses, I would have stoned this lady'?" Ibn `Abbas said, "No, that was another lady who, though being a Muslim, used to arouse suspicion because of her outright misbehavior

Rapporté par Ibn `Abbas : On a parlé devant le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) de personnes impliquées dans une affaire de Lian. `Asim bin Adi a dit quelque chose à ce sujet puis il est parti. Plus tard, un homme de sa tribu est venu le voir et lui a dit qu’il avait surpris un autre homme avec sa femme. À cela, `Asim a dit : « Je ne suis concerné que par ce que j’ai dit (au sujet du Lian). » `Asim a emmené l’homme chez le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) et il lui a raconté dans quelle situation il avait trouvé sa femme. L’homme était pâle, maigre et avait les cheveux plats, tandis que l’autre homme qu’il avait trouvé avec sa femme était brun, gros, avec de grosses jambes et les cheveux bouclés. Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a dit : « Ô Allah ! Fais apparaître la vérité. » Ensuite, la femme a accouché d’un enfant ressemblant à l’homme que son mari avait mentionné. Alors le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) leur a ordonné d’accomplir le Lian. Un homme présent a demandé à Ibn `Abbas : « Était-ce la même femme à propos de laquelle le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a dit : “Si je devais lapider quelqu’un sans témoins, j’aurais lapidé cette femme” ? » Ibn `Abbas a répondu : « Non, c’était une autre femme qui, bien qu’étant musulmane, éveillait des soupçons à cause de sa mauvaise conduite. »
