Sahih al-Bukhari, 4728

Narrated Mus`ab:I asked my father, "Was the Verse:-- 'Say: (O Muhammad) Shall We tell you the greatest losers in respect of their deeds?'(18.103) revealed regarding Al-Haruriyya?" He said, "No, but regarding the Jews and the Christians, for the Jews disbelieved Muhammad and the Christians disbelieved in Paradise and say that there are neither meals nor drinks therein. Al- Hururiyya are those people who break their pledge to Allah after they have confirmed that they will fulfill it, and Sa`d used to call them 'Al-Fasiqin (evildoers who forsake Allah's obedience)

Rapporté par Mus`ab : J’ai demandé à mon père : « Le verset : “Dis : (Ô Muhammad) Voulez-vous que Nous vous informions de ceux qui ont le plus perdu par leurs œuvres ?” (18.103) a-t-il été révélé au sujet des Al-Haruriyya ? » Il répondit : « Non, mais au sujet des Juifs et des Chrétiens, car les Juifs ont rejeté Muhammad et les Chrétiens ont nié le Paradis et disent qu’il n’y a ni repas ni boisson là-bas. Les Al-Haruriyya sont ceux qui rompent leur engagement envers Allah après l’avoir confirmé, et Sa`d les appelait “Al-Fasiqin” (les pervers qui abandonnent l’obéissance à Allah). »
