Sahih al-Bukhari, 4352

Narrated 'Ata:Jabir said, "The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered `Ali to keep the state of Ihram." Jabir added, "Ali bin Abi Talib returned (from Yemen) when he was a governor (of Yemen). The Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, 'With what intention have you assumed the state of Ihram?' `Ali said, "I have assumed Ihram with an intention as that of the Prophet." Then the Prophet (ﷺ) said (to him), 'Offer a Hadi and keep the state of Ihram in which you are now.' `Ali slaughtered a Hadi on his behalf

Rapporté par 'Ata : Jabir a dit : « Le Prophète (ﷺ) a ordonné à `Ali de rester en état d’Ihram. » Jabir a ajouté : « Ali bin Abi Talib est revenu (du Yémen) alors qu’il était gouverneur (du Yémen). Le Prophète (ﷺ) lui a dit : ‘Avec quelle intention as-tu pris l’Ihram ?’ `Ali a répondu : ‘J’ai pris l’Ihram avec la même intention que le Prophète.’ Alors le Prophète (ﷺ) lui a dit : ‘Offre un Hadi et reste dans l’état d’Ihram dans lequel tu es.’ `Ali a sacrifié un Hadi pour lui-même. »
