Sahih al-Bukhari, 3981

Narrated Ibn `Umar:The Prophet (ﷺ) stood at the well of Badr (which contained the corpses of the pagans) and said, "Have you found true what your lord promised you?" Then he further said, "They now hear what I say." This was mentioned before `Aisha and she said, "But the Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'Now they know very well that what I used to tell them was the truth.' Then she recited (the Holy Verse):-- "You cannot make the dead hear... ...till the end of Verse

Rapporté par Ibn `Umar : Le Prophète (ﷺ) s’est tenu au puits de Badr (où se trouvaient les corps des polythéistes) et a dit : « Avez-vous trouvé vrai ce que votre Seigneur vous avait promis ? » Puis il a ajouté : « Maintenant, ils entendent ce que je dis. » Cela a été rapporté à `Aisha et elle a dit : « Mais le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : ‘Maintenant, ils savent très bien que ce que je leur disais était la vérité.’ » Puis elle a récité (le verset sacré) : « Tu ne peux pas faire entendre les morts... » jusqu’à la fin du verset
