Narrated Ibn `Umar:`Umar bin Al-Khattab fixed a grant of 4000 (Dirhams) for every Early Emigrant (i.e. Muhajir) and fixed a grant of 3500 (Dirhams) only for Ibn `Umar. Somebody said to `Umar, "Ibn `Umar is also one of the Early Emigrants; why do you give him less than four-thousand?" `Umar replied, "His parents took him with them when they migrated, so he was not like the one who had migrated by himself

Rapporté par Ibn `Umar : `Umar bin Al-Khattab fixa une allocation de 4000 dirhams pour chaque Premier Émigrant (Muhajir) et fixa une allocation de seulement 3500 dirhams pour Ibn `Umar. Quelqu’un dit à `Umar : « Ibn `Umar est aussi l’un des premiers Émigrants ; pourquoi lui donnes-tu moins que quatre mille ? » `Umar répondit : « Ses parents l’ont emmené avec eux lors de l’émigration, donc il n’est pas comme celui qui a émigré par lui-même. »
