Sahih al-Bukhari, 3663

Narrated Abu Huraira:I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "While a shepherd was amongst his sheep, a wolf attacked them and took away one sheep. When the shepherd chased the wolf, the wolf turned towards him and said, 'Who will be its guard on the day of wild animals when nobody except I will be its shepherd?' And while a man was driving a cow with a load on it, it turned towards him and spoke to him saying, 'I have not been created for this purpose, but for ploughing." The people said, "Glorified be Allah." The Prophet said, "But I believe in it and so do Abu Bakr and `Umar

Rapporté par Abou Hourayra : J’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) dire : « Un berger était parmi ses moutons lorsqu’un loup a attaqué et emporté une brebis. Quand le berger a poursuivi le loup, celui-ci s’est retourné et a dit : ‘Qui la gardera le jour des bêtes sauvages, quand il n’y aura personne d’autre que moi pour être son berger ?’ Et pendant qu’un homme conduisait une vache chargée, elle s’est retournée vers lui et lui a dit : ‘Je n’ai pas été créée pour cela, mais pour labourer.’ » Les gens ont dit : « Gloire à Allah ! » Le Prophète a dit : « Mais moi, j’y crois, et Abou Bakr et `Umar aussi. »
