Sahih al-Bukhari, 3221

Narrated Ibn Shihab:Once `Umar bin `Abdul `Aziz delayed the `Asr prayer a little. `Urwa said to him, "Gabriel descended and led the prayer in front of the Prophet (ﷺ) " On that `Umar said, "O `Urwa! Be sure of what you say." "Urwa said, "I heard Bashir bin Abi Masud narrating from Ibn Masud who heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, 'Gabriel descended and led me in prayer; and then prayed with him again, and then prayed with him again, and then prayed with him again, and then prayed with him again, counting with his fingers five prayers

Rapporté par Ibn Shihab : Une fois, `Umar bin `Abdul `Aziz a retardé un peu la prière de l’`Asr. `Urwa lui a dit : « Gabriel est descendu et a dirigé la prière devant le Prophète ﷺ. » À cela, `Umar a dit : « Ô `Urwa ! Sois sûr de ce que tu dis. » `Urwa a répondu : « J’ai entendu Bashir bin Abi Masud rapporter de la part d’Ibn Masud, qui a entendu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ dire : ‘Gabriel est descendu et m’a dirigé dans la prière ; puis il a prié avec moi encore, puis encore, puis encore, puis encore’, comptant cinq prières avec ses doigts. »
