Sahih al-Bukhari, 2756

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:The mother of Sa`d bin 'Ubada died in his absence. He said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! My mother died in my absence; will it be of any benefit for her if I give Sadaqa on her behalf?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Yes," Sa`d said, "I make you a witness that I gave my garden called Al Makhraf in charity on her behalf

Rapporté par Ibn ‘Abbas : La mère de Sa‘d bin ‘Ubada est décédée en son absence. Il dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) ! Ma mère est morte alors que je n’étais pas là ; cela lui sera-t-il utile si je donne une aumône pour elle ? » Le Prophète (ﷺ) répondit : « Oui. » Sa‘d dit : « Je te prends à témoin que j’ai donné mon jardin appelé Al Makhraf en aumône pour elle. »
