Sahih al-Bukhari, 2683

Narrated Muhammad bin `Ali:Jabir bin `Abdullah said, "When the Prophet (ﷺ) died, Abu Bakr received some property from Al-`Ala bin Al-Hadrami. Abu Bakr said to the people, "Whoever has a money claim on the Prophet, or was promised something by him, should come to us (so that we may pay him his right)." Jabir added, "I said (to Abu Bakr), Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) promised me that he would give me this much, and this much, and this much (spreading his hands three times)." Jabir added, "Abu Bakr counted for me and handed me five-hundred (gold pieces), and then five-hundred, and then five-hundred

Rapporté par Muhammad bin `Ali : Jabir bin `Abdullah a dit : « Quand le Prophète (ﷺ) est décédé, Abu Bakr a reçu des biens de Al-`Ala bin Al-Hadrami. Abu Bakr a dit aux gens : “Celui qui a une créance sur le Prophète, ou à qui il a promis quelque chose, qu’il vienne vers nous pour qu’on lui donne son droit.” Jabir a ajouté : “J’ai dit (à Abu Bakr) : Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) m’a promis de me donner ceci, cela et cela (en écartant ses mains trois fois).” Jabir a ajouté : “Abu Bakr m’a compté et m’a donné cinq cents (pièces d’or), puis encore cinq cents, puis encore cinq cents.” »
