Sahih al-Bukhari, 2070

Narrated `Aisha:When Abu Bakr As-Siddiq was chosen Caliph, he said, "My people know that my profession was not incapable of providing substance to my family. And as I will be busy serving the Muslim nation, my family will eat from the National Treasury of Muslims, and I will practice the profession of serving the Muslims

Rapporté par `Aisha : Quand Abu Bakr As-Siddiq a été choisi comme calife, il a dit : « Mon peuple sait que mon métier me permettait de subvenir aux besoins de ma famille. Et comme je serai occupé à servir la communauté musulmane, ma famille mangera dans le Trésor public des musulmans, et je continuerai à servir les musulmans. »
