Sahih al-Bukhari, 1958

Narrated Ibn Abi `Aufa:I was with the Prophet (ﷺ) on a journey, and he observed the fast till evening. The Prophet (ﷺ) said to a man, "Get down and mix Sawiq with water for me." He replied, "Will you wait till it is evening?" The Prophet said, "Get down and mix Sawiq with water for me; when you see night falling from this side, the fasting person should break his fast

Rapporté par Ibn Abi `Aufa : J’étais avec le Prophète ﷺ lors d’un voyage, et il a jeûné jusqu’au soir. Le Prophète ﷺ a dit à un homme : « Descends et mélange du sawiq avec de l’eau pour moi. » Il a répondu : « Veux-tu attendre qu’il fasse vraiment nuit ? » Le Prophète a dit : « Descends et mélange du sawiq avec de l’eau pour moi ; quand tu vois la nuit tomber de ce côté, la personne qui jeûne doit rompre son jeûne. »
