Sahih al-Bukhari, 1955

Narrated `Abdullah bin Abi `Aufa:We were in the company of the Prophet (ﷺ) on a journey and he was fasting, and when the sun set, he addressed somebody, "O so-and-so, get up and mix Sawiq with water for us." He replied, "O Allah's Apostle! (Will you wait) till it is evening?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Get down and mix Sawiq with water for us." He replied, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! (If you wait) till it is evening." The Prophet (ﷺ) said again, "Get down and mix Sawiq with water for us." He replied, "It is still daytime."(1) The Prophet (ﷺ) said again, "Get down and mix Sawiq with water for us." He got down and mixed Sawiq for them. The Prophet (ﷺ) drank it and then said, "When you see night falling from this side, the fasting person should break his fast

Rapporté par `Abdullah ibn Abi `Aufa : Nous étions en voyage avec le Prophète ﷺ et il jeûnait. Quand le soleil s’est couché, il a dit à quelqu’un : « Ô untel, lève-toi et mélange du sawiq avec de l’eau pour nous. » Il a répondu : « Ô Messager d’Allah ! (Veux-tu attendre) qu’il fasse vraiment nuit ? » Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Descends et mélange du sawiq avec de l’eau pour nous. » Il a répondu : « Ô Messager d’Allah ﷺ ! (Si tu attends) qu’il fasse vraiment nuit. » Le Prophète ﷺ a répété : « Descends et mélange du sawiq avec de l’eau pour nous. » Il a répondu : « Il fait encore jour. » Le Prophète ﷺ a répété : « Descends et mélange du sawiq avec de l’eau pour nous. » Il est alors descendu et a préparé le sawiq. Le Prophète ﷺ en a bu puis a dit : « Quand vous voyez la nuit tomber de ce côté, la personne qui jeûne doit rompre son jeûne. »
