Sahih al-Bukhari, 1688

Narrated Abu Jamra:I asked Ibn `Abbas about Hajj-at-Tamattu`. He ordered me to perform it. I asked him about the Hadi (sacrifice). He said, "You have to slaughter a camel, a cow or a sheep, or you may share the Hadi with the others." It seemed that some people disliked it (Hajj-at-Tamattu`). I slept and dreamt as if a person was announcing: "Hajj Mabrur and accepted Mut'ah (Hajj-at-Tamattu`)" I went to Ibn `Abbas and narrated it to him. He said, "Allah is Greater. (That was) the tradition of Abu Al-Qasim (i.e. Prophet). Narrated Shu`ba that the call in the dream was. "An accepted `Umra and Hajj-Mabrur

Rapporté par Abu Jamra : J’ai demandé à Ibn `Abbas au sujet du Hajj-at-Tamattu`. Il m’a conseillé de le faire. Je lui ai demandé à propos du Hadi (sacrifice). Il a dit : « Tu dois sacrifier un chameau, une vache ou un mouton, ou tu peux partager le Hadi avec d’autres. » Il semblait que certaines personnes n’aimaient pas le Hajj-at-Tamattu`. J’ai dormi et j’ai rêvé qu’une voix annonçait : « Un Hajj accepté et une ‘Umra acceptée (Hajj-at-Tamattu`). » Je suis allé voir Ibn `Abbas et je lui ai raconté mon rêve. Il a dit : « Allah est le Plus Grand. (C’était) la tradition d’Abu Al-Qasim (c’est-à-dire le Prophète). » Shu`ba rapporte que l’annonce dans le rêve était : « Une ‘Umra acceptée et un Hajj Mabrur. »
