Abu Qatadah said:The apostle of Allah (ﷺ) used to lead us in prayer and recite in the first two rak’ahs of the noon prayers Fatihat al-kitab and two surahs, and he would sometimes recite loud enough for us to hear the verse. He would prolong the first rak’ah of the noon prayer and shorten the second; and he did so in the morning prayer. Abu Dawud said: Musaddad did not mention the words fatihat al-kitab and surahRapporté par Abu Qatadah رضي الله عنه : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ nous dirigeait dans la prière et récitait, dans les deux premières rak‘a de la prière du midi, la Fatiha et deux sourates, et parfois il récitait assez fort pour que nous entendions un verset. Il allongeait la première rak‘a du midi et raccourcissait la seconde ; il faisait de même pour la prière du matin. Abu Dawud a dit : Musaddad n’a pas mentionné les mots Fatiha et sourateGrades given by scholars
