Sunan Abi Dawud, 5079

Al-Harith b. Muslim al-Tamimi quoted his father Muslim b. al-Harith al-Tamimi as saying that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) told him secretly:When you finish the sunset prayer, say: 'O Allah, protect me from Hell" seven times; for if you say that and die that night, protection from it would be recorded for you; and when you finish the dawn prayer, say it in a similar way, for if you die that day, protection from it would be recorded for you. AbuSa'id told me that al-Harith said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said this to us secretly, so we confine it to our brethren

Al-Harith b. Muslim al-Tamimi a rapporté de son père Muslim b. al-Harith al-Tamimi que le Messager d’Allah ﷺ lui a dit en secret : « Quand tu termines la prière du coucher du soleil, dis : “Ô Allah, protège-moi du Feu” sept fois ; car si tu dis cela et que tu meurs cette nuit-là, la protection contre le Feu sera inscrite pour toi. Et quand tu termines la prière de l’aube, dis-le de la même façon ; si tu meurs ce jour-là, la protection contre le Feu sera inscrite pour toi. » Abu Sa’id m’a dit qu’al-Harith a précisé : « Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ nous a dit cela en secret, alors nous le réservons à nos frères. »
